Who is involved?

Following the previous report that the Juventus Director might have met Paul Pogba after France Euro 2020 qualifiers, reports in Italy now claim that the Frenchman has agreed to personal terms with the Serie A club.

The 26-year-old will not come cheap and Manchester United are seemingly unwilling to let go of their star player.

What has happened?

Pogba fell out with Jose Mourinho when the Portuguese man was United’s manager in the 2018/19 season. Eventually, the former Real Madrid manager was sacked before Pogba left the club.

The Red Devils were on the receiving end of a resurgence when Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took over. However, it proved to be insufficient as Solskajaer could not inspire his side to a top-four finish in the Premier League.

Now, with the squad in need to massive rebuilding, Solskjaer might cash in on a couple of players in order to welcome new signings. Daniel James recently signed for United. Sean Longstaff and James Maddison could also follow.

What might happen?

Besides Juventus, Real Madrid are also keen on securing the services of the midfielder. United’s goalkeeping coach said that the World Cup winner would face little difficulties fitting into Zinedine Zidane’s system if he does join Los Blancos.

The clubs might battle it out to sign Pogba whose future at United looks uncertain.
