Who is involved?

Atletico Madrid midfielder has reportedly told the club that he wants to leave. Spanish media have been reporting that the Spaniard will join Manchester City this summer after both clubs agree on a fee for the player.

What has happened?

The Cityzens are active in the transfer market but have yet to officially announce any new signings. They are reported to be keen on Harry Maguire and Joao Felix, but thus far, the deal for Rodri looks to be the first to be completed.

The 22-year-old arrived at the Madrid club last summer from Villarreal. Then, he signed a five year deal with the club. This season, he played a total of 47 times in all competitions and enjoyed a passing accuracy of 91.1% in La Liga. He furthered impressed by making an average of 3 tacklers and 2 clearances per game.

What might happen?

With the deal more or less agreed between both clubs, the Premier League champions could soon announce the player.
