Who is involved?

Manchester United are keen to bring Aaron Wan-Bissaka into the club as the team clearly needs more defensive reinforcements. The Crystal Palace right-back has done particularly well in the Premier League this season and impressed many. United had initially placed a £40 million bid for the defender but Palace want the fee to be in the region of £50- £60 million.

What has happened?

Now with £50 million on the table, the bid was still rejected by the management. The Eagles want this sum to be paid upfront before the player joins another rival club. However, the Red Devils want it to be paid in instalments – £35 million plus £15 million of add-ons.

The defender made an average of 3.7 tackles and 2.4 interceptions in every game. For a player of his age, he is indeed performing exceptionally well.

United are also in the market for Harry Maguire but Leicester City are demanding £90 million for the centre-back. The English man has been consistent for both England and his club. He also offers an aerial threat in his opponent’s box.

What might happen?

Determined to sign the right-back, United would accede to Crystal Palace’s requests eventually.
